There are a great many things in our lives we seldom take the time to consider. For most of us, proper sanitation is something we simply assume will be available when we need it.

But for thousands of people in the areas served by Feed The Children, adequate latrines are only something hoped for.

On a recent trip to Nicaragua, I witnessed firsthand the frightful, disease-carrying sanitation conditions children must face every day — on top of the challenges of hunger, unsafe drinking water, and so much more.

Visiting a school of 350 children served by a few latrines, I had the unfortunate occasion to smell the awful result of primitive community toilets without running water. Besides a horrible odor, these facilities harbor deadly diseases which can undo all the progress children make toward breaking the cycle of poverty.

But there is hope. Although my partnership with Feed The Children concentrates on their wonderful child sponsorship program, it also has alerted me to very specific needs that some communities face. One of these is the need for adequate sanitation for 350 children in El Rodeo, Nicaragua.

I believe that once you know a problem, you’re halfway to solving it. Now that you know a bit of what these children must endure, please join me and my David Payne Drama team in bringing about a solution.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE PROJECT IS SUCH THAT DAVID PAYNE DRAMA WILL MATCH EVERY DONATION.

Yes, that means every Dollar you give is worth TWO! All you need to do is select a donation option below so together, we can build bathroom facilities in El Rodeo, Nicaragua — and bring lasting change to children’s lives.
